Who We Are

A Full-Service Refurbish, Repair & Painting Contractor

Gringo's Industrial Services specializes in heavy equipment, cranes, SPMTs, commercial metal buildings and warehouses. Our process includes rust removal by sandblasting, grinding, and any and all surface prep before priming and painting any surface — using specific products chosen to remove and treat each surface.

For the last seven years we have specialized in refurbishing large cranes and heavy lift equipment: an LR1250 ring crane in South Carolina, a Liebherr LR 8800 in Rhode Island, and the everyday LR2800 and LR1350 machines in between. We strip down 4- and 6-wheel axle submersible trailers and make them look brand new in their company colors.

Why Gringo's

Built Around Keeping Your Equipment Working

Most coating contractors need you to bring the asset to them. That is the expensive part. We built this company the other way around.

We Come To You

Your yard or your job site, anywhere in Texas or across the country. The equipment never leaves your control.

No Transport Charges

Skip the lowboys, permits and escorts. Painting on site is almost always cheaper than shipping the asset to a shop.

Heavy Lift Specialists

Ring cranes, crawlers, luffers and SPMTs. We have been refurbishing the big iron for seven years straight.

Prep Done Right

Rust removal by sandblasting, grinding and any and all surface prep before a drop of primer touches the steel.

Environmentally Friendly

We use environmentally friendly solutions and proper containment so your property stays clean and compliant.

Scheduled Between Projects

We work in the gap — after demob, before the next move — so refinishing never costs you a working day.

Customer Feedback

Trusted With The Big Iron

They painted our LR11350 in Dayton without us moving a single section to a shop. 120 meters of boom and luffer, done in our yard, and the machine went straight to the next job looking better than the day we bought it.

RDRay DelgadoFleet Manager, Gulf Coast Crane & Rigging

We had six axle lines of SPMT that looked twenty years old. Gringo's stripped them down, handled the rust and put them back in our colors. Our clients notice the equipment now, and they notice it for the right reason.

MVMarisol VegaOperations Director, Lone Star Heavy Haul

Our warehouse envelope was chalked out and streaking rust at every seam. They phased the work bay by bay so we never shut down a dock door, and the prep was the most thorough I have seen from a coatings crew.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

If your question is not here, call us. We would rather talk through the scope than guess at it.

  • Do we have to bring our equipment to you?

No. That is the whole point of how we work. We are a mobile company — we bring the crew and the equipment to your yard or job site, anywhere in Texas and across the U.S. On a crane or an SPMT set, the transport charges alone usually cost more than the paint work, so painting where the asset sits is the cheaper option almost every time.

  • What kind of equipment do you work on?

Cranes and heavy lift equipment of every size — ring cranes, crawlers, lattice boom and telescopic machines — plus SPMTs and submersible trailers, excavators and yellow iron, generators, commercial metal buildings, fabrication shops, aircraft hangars and warehouses. No project is too big or too small.

  • What does your surface prep actually include?

Rust removal by sandblasting, power tool cleaning and grinding, degreasing, weld and edge treatment, and any and all prep the substrate needs before priming. We use specific products chosen to remove and treat each surface. Coatings fail because of bad prep, so this is where the job is won.

  • Can you match our company colors?

Yes. Matching fleet colors is standard on every job we do. Give us your brand standard or a sample and the machine goes back into your fleet in your exact colors, with clean numbering and logo layout.

  • How long will our equipment be down?

It depends on the size and condition of the asset, but the schedule is built around your operation. On modular equipment like SPMTs and boom sections, we stage the work so part of the set stays available while the rest is being refinished. We will give you a realistic timeline with the quote.

  • Are your products environmentally friendly?

We use environmentally friendly solutions wherever the scope allows, with proper containment and responsible waste handling. Working on customer property means leaving it as clean as we found it.

No Project Is Too Big Or Small

Tell us what you have, where it sits and what condition it is in. We will come back with a realistic, reasonable price.
